In the past, the encounters between RMM and James' Team (JT) had always been seen as fierce local derbies where no prisoners were taken. That however had started to change in recent games as the forms between the 2 fierce local rivals began heading towards opposite directions with JTs form slumping and RMM remaining consistent.
With most of it's squad back this week, RMM managed to start the game with 11 and followed the formbook by taking charge of the first half with a superb solo effort from Flash That and another goal from the free scoring Batigol.
Bossing the game, RMM only had to call permanent stand-in keeper Shark into action once when the giant short stopper pulled off a stupendous diving save from JT's Ronald's 25 yard screamer.
The 2nd half however proved to be a different game. RMM had taken a 3 goal lead when Iceman's deadball prowness once again proved deadly, pinballing between JTs keeper and the post before ending at the back of the net.
Things that started to get undone for the wily veterans as JT pulled a goal back when their playmaker waltz past a static RMM defense to stroke the ball home.
Worse was yet to come from RMM as 'volunteer' stand-in keeper Speedy then decided to provide everyone with his weekly dose of comic relief. Mis-controlling the ball with 1 feet, he mis-kicked the ball with his other feet into the path of JTs playmaker. The grateful JT player then easily chipped the formerly speedy Speedy who was by then stranded at the edge of his box with both his legs tied together.
RMM then had little choice but to park the bus in front of goal to defend the slender 1 goal lead until the final whistle.
The game also featured a trailist recommended by SiYeh who claimed his charge was built like Nitro and would free score like Batigol. Unfortunately the ballerina was neither and SiYeh's alternative career as a Super Agent may have failed before it started.
