RMM 3 KL Machan 1

With a mixture of golden oldies and pimply teenagers, KL Machans (KLM) were never going to trouble RMMs experienced squad.

That proved to the case as RMM took a comfortable 2-0 lead in the 1st half with goals coming from RMMs on-form scorers, the super hot superstar, Batigol and Supreme Ruler Of The Skies above the pitch, Guvnor.

RMM displayed a confident display of passing game throughout the half with the watertight defense looking very comfortable and the midfielders pulling the strings. The only blotch on RMMS 1st half report card would be Mat Burit’s various misses on 1v1 situations and Blindman Poon’s sometimes defective sonar.

Defensive lynchpin Siyeh provided the highlight in the 1st half when he missed RMMs 5th penalty of the season.

The 2nd half proved to be more of the same as RMM continued to turn the screws. Unfortunately, the battled hardened veterans could only score 1 more when the limping Mat Burit finally scored from the 6 yard line.

The veterans could have racked up a cricket score if was for the plethora of misses from almost the entire attacking section of the RMM team. Some blamed the missed chances on the confusing team instructions given out with regards to taking shots of taking time to look around before shooting.

RMM did however concede a goal in this half when 2nd half keeper - Speedy, was again beaten by the customary 45 yards speculative lob. There was little the Master Of the Alternative Universe could do on this occasion as he was busy picking his nose when RMM lost possession of the ball as Blindman Poon’s sonar system suffered a meltdown resulting in the Blindman passing the ball to a KLM player.

The Master Of The Alternative Universe’s moment of the game came when he had clearly caught the ball outside his box. Denying any wrongdoing, Speedy started to cite the penalty box dimension’s from his Alternate Universe as his case of defense much to the bafflement of his team mates.

The game ended in a farcical manner when Titan was struck in the face by a attempt at goal by a KLM striker. As the veteran RMM defender laid prone of the pitch, the KLM supporters stopped picking ticks from each other and started to climb nearby trees making monkey like noises. That in turn agitated RMMers and some pushing and shoving started happening between both set of players.

Unable to locate bananas to pacify the KLM supporters, the referee called the game off in fear.

correction: score at halftime was 1-0

overall a very much one sided game which the scoreline could have easily reached double figures had we been more clinical & ruthless in front of goal.

*reminder: kindly refrain from making unnecessary remarks that will provoke the opposition during games. let our awesome football do all the talking...

l wonder what are the sizes of a football pitch, the penalty box, the circle in the centre of the field, etc etc...in the alternate universe??

by the way, l think this was the easiest game we had in this horrible dry, stony, big, lineless ping pong field...and the most we had scored at this field !

Yup....the scoreline at HT was 1-0. Guv'nor was the scorer. I scored the second in the 2nd half.

Well, I agree with Meng. This pitch is terrible to play on. Not only it's bloody hard, the uneven ground makes controlling the ball a hell of a task.
